Emerging reports claim that English Premier League champions Liverpool have been able to agree on terms with their summer transfer target Thiago Alcantara with the credit given to manager Jurgen Klopp.

There have been controversies in the speculations of the 29-year-old from German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after claims that Man United are close to hijacking a deal for the former Barcelona player.

Bild is now reporting that manager Jurgen Klopp has been able to lend his voice and that has led to a breakthrough in the chase of Thiago Alcantara ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, the report adds that both clubs are still on the negotiation table for a fee with Bayern Munich asking for £36 million while the Reds are only willing to pay £23 million for the player and are hoping that an agreement would be reached in coming weeks.

Thiago Alcantara has already made it clear to the Bundesliga giants that he wants to leave the club, refusing to pen a new deal and has reportedly put up his house on sale.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick is not ready to part ways with the 29-year-old as he is hoping issues with the club can be resolved before the opening of the summer window.
