The Spanish boss is also hoping to land Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey and already looking forward to his partnership with Marc Roca in the middle.
Marc Roca has a release clause of about £40 million and that could be negotiated by the two clubs especially with the player not ready to be relegated with Espanyol.
The 23-year-old enjoyed 33 appearances for Espanyol this season, making him one of the best the club can boast of. He is experienced and can be a better option to Matteo Guendouzi who could his way out of the Emirates Stadium.
Everton have been named as one of the clubs seeking the signature of the Espanyol midfielder but the Gunners are tipped to win the race.
