Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is very ambitious with his transfer plans and he is ready to leave no stone unturned to be able to compete in the coming season.

One player the Blues have pointed to as a transfer plan is Kai Havertz from German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Leverkusen but they have Man United to compete with to land the highly-rated midfielder.

A reliable journalist, Nicolo Schira has therefore revealed that the West London outfit are keen on winning the race for Kai Havertz and have initiated talks with the player’s agent over a possible deal.

The journalist revealed that the Bleus team are willing to pay £8 million per year to win Man United in the chase and the club’s Director Marina Granovskaia is on top of the deal with constant contact with the player’s agent.

The 21-year-old is a highly rated central midfielder who can also play from the right-sided attacking midfield. He scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists for his club in the Bundesliga this season and 3 other goals with 2 assists in the Europa League.

Bayern Leverkusen have slammed a £70 million asking price on the player which will determine who will win the race but it is expected that negotiations will happen for a reduced fee.
