New Manchester United signing Odion Ighalo has called for patience from fans as football continue to suffer as a result of the dreaded Coronavirus which has ravaged several countries.

The Coronavirus has claimed a lot of lives in countries like China, Iran, Italy, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and many more.

Odion Ighalo spoke to the fans via a message sent to them on social media as he called for perspective amidst the battle to wipe Coronavirus off the face of the earth.

Football is not the only thing affected by the dreaded virus as a lot of activities have been suspended worldwide as a result.

According to former Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Ighalo, the health of football fans and dealing with the virus are more important than football at the moment.

Ighalo wants football fans to be patient with the new development which saw the Premier League shift the league restart to April 30 at the earliest.

It was previously postponed to the 4th of April until the new announcement made on Thursday.

Odion Ighalo has made an instant impact at Manchester United having joined his boyhood club in January. He has already scored four goals in just three starts.

In total, he has appeared for the Red Devils eight times since his loan transfer from China two months ago.

Ighalo and his fellow January signing, Bruno Fernandes have provided Manchester United with the impetus to push for their targets between now and the remainder of the season.

Manchester United are in the frame for Champions League qualification ahead of next season’s edition with nine league games left to play for the majority of the teams.

The Red Devils are still alive in the Europa League and the FA Cup thus providing manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the opportunity to end his first full season as manager with a trophy at least.
