Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of the FA Cup fifth round clash with Derby County on Thursday night.

The Red Devils are eyeing a quarterfinal berth in the competition but they have to overcome their legend Wayne Rooney and his Derby County side.

Wayne Rooney returned to English football at the start of this year after some time in America.

He was at DC United until the end of last year.

Rooney played for both Everton and Manchester United before leaving the Premier League for the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States of America.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that winger Daniel James will miss out on the Derby County clash later this week as a result of the injury that saw him miss the Premier League meeting with Everton last weekend.

Summer signing Daniel James was an absentee as Manchester United missed out on the opportunity to close the gap on Chelsea in fourth place on the Premier League table after a 1-1 draw at Everton.

Solskjaer also revealed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a doubt for the Derby County clash in the last 16 of the FA Cup.

Unlike Daniel James, England junior international right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka played the entire duration of the Everton game.

Four teams are already through to the last eight of the FA Cup after some round of 16 games on Monday night and Tuesday night.

Arsenal became the first team to qualify for the FA Cup last eight this season after the professional 2-0 away win over Portsmouth from the third tier of English football. Sokratis Papasthathopoulos and young striker Eddie Nketiah scored the goals for the Gunners.

The North Londoners were joined in the quarterfinals on Tuesday night by Chelsea, Sheffield United and Newcastle United.
