Manchester United have been a victim of inconsistent displays in the Premier League this season as they are playing catchup on Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United in the race for the top four in the league.

Despite the several inconsistent displays, some young players have done well for the Red Devils whose shirt is accompanied by a lot of pressure.

These young players have put themselves in the frame as nominees for the Player of the Year Award at Manchester United at the end of the season.

Here are the contenders for the aforementioned Young Player of the Year Award:

1. Marcus Rashford

The England national team striker has been a livewire for Manchester United this season and he’s not only in contention for the Young Player of the Year Award. Rashford is also a strong favourite for the Player of the Year at the club this season after netting 19 goals in all competitions before his injury against Wolves last month. He came on as a second-half substitute during the FA Cup game at home to the fellow Premier League outfit before succumbing to a back injury that will keep him out of the side for a further one month.

2. Brandon Williams

The young Manchester United fullback can function well either as a left-back or as a right-back. He has grown in leaps and bounds since making his debut for the Red Devils in October. The January exit of Ashley Young to Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan will afford him with more playing time at the club.

3. Mason Greenwood

He has been a regular fixture in the Manchester United team this season. The 18-year-old has been able to score a lot of goals in the colours of the Red Devils this season including four goals in the Premier League.
