EPL: Liverpool No.1 Summer Transfer Target Already Decided

Liverpool officials would be forgiven if they don’t sign new players this summer after a sensational season which has seen the Reds win all but one of their 25 league games in the top flight of English football.

The only Premier League game that didn’t end in victory for Liverpool this season was the away game at Manchester United which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool have won 24 games and drawn one of their 25 Premier Leagues this term thereby opening a very big advantage at the top of the table in the English top flight.

The Reds have a 22-point lead at the Premier League summit and they are just six wins away from ending their lengthy league title drought.

Liverpool have gone three decades without winning a league title but that’s about to end in the next weeks. It’s hard to believe that a club of Liverpool’s status is yet to win the Premier League title.

They are on course to become only the seventh club to win the Premier League title. The Reds could achieve more as they are still in within the shout of a treble (includes the FA Cup and Champions League).

Liverpool have already win the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA World Club Cup titles this season.

It would be hard to improve on their recent achievements with new signings but the Merseysiders still plan to boost their squad with new players. RB Leipzig star Timo Werner is said to be their number one target for this summer with recent reports disclosing that the petite German has agreed to personal terms with Liverpool and that it’s left for the Reds to agree a transfer fee with his club.

Timo Werner has been in sensational form for RB Leipzig in the league this season with 20 goals already.
