Arsenal have undoubtedly improved since new manager Mikel Arteta assumed his role at the club at the end of last year and many Gunners Faithfuls expected the club to back him fully during the just concluded transfer window but that was not the situation as the North Londoners operated financially at the lower end of the spectrum.
The Arsenal hierarchy wants to wait till the summer before backing the new manager fully but they were still able to sign two players on loan in positions of need during the just-concluded January transfer window.
Arsenal signed Spanish center-back Pablo Mari from Flamengo on loan plus the loan signing of Portuguese right-back Cedric Soares from Southampton.

Here are three players Arsenal could sign this summer:
1. Dayot Upamecano:
The French u21 international is a long-term Arsenal target who plays his club football for RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga. By this summer, the center-back will have 12 months left on his RB Leipzig contract.
2. Thomas Lemar:
French World Cup winner Lemar is another long-term Arsenal target who’s finding it difficult to live up to his hefty price tag at Atletico Madrid.
3. Boubakary Soumare:
The Lille midfielder was linked with several clubs in the January transfer window but nothing happened though the Frenchman is likely to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer.
