Spanish newspaper AS has confirmed the interest of Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise Inter Miami in wantaway Paris Saint Germain (PSG) striker Edinson Cavani.

According to one of its publications, Inter Miami have made a late bid to sign Cavani ahead of the interested European teams including Manchester United.

Edinson Cavani wants to leave PSG this month after losing his place as the central striker to Inter Milan loanee Mauro Icardi.

Argentine international Icardi signed for PSG from Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal last summer and the French champions are working on a permanent deal for him.

Recent reports revealed that PSG want €20m for Cavani who could fill one of the two designated spots still available for Inter Miami.

The designated spots are for foreign players like Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani.

Apart from Cavani, Monterrey striker Rogelio Funes Mori and Chelsea winger Pedro Rodriguez are also on the radar of Inter Miami.

Edinson Cavani has been the subject of two bids from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid but they have not met the valuation of PSG.

Atletico Madrid are favourites to sign the former Napoli and Palermo attacker who has spent almost eight years at the Parc des Princes.
