Chelsea will miss out on the signing of Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Edinson Cavani according to the London Evening Standard.
The PSG striker has opted for Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid ahead of both Chelsea and Manchester United who are also interested in him.
His agent is in Madrid to wrap up a deal for the Uruguayan international who’s keen to leave PSG this month rather than wait till the summer to exit the club on a free transfer.
Edinson Cavani has just six months left on his PSG deal at the moment.
Atletico Madrid are poised to make a second bid to match the £12.6m asking price from PSG for the 33-year-old striker.
