Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under immense pressure to keep his job as the manager at Old Trafford as results continue to dwindle especially in the wake of the injury to star player Marcus Rashford.

The Red Devils were dealt a big blow after the England international wss ruled out of action for the better part of two months as a result of the stress fracture suffered in his back during a recent game against Wolves in the FA Cup.

Marcus Rashford sustained the injury during the second half of the game shortly after he came on as a substitute.

He has scored 19 goals and added five assists for Manchester United this season and the team has felt his absence in the last two games without him.

Pressure is on Solskjaer to start performing with the players at his disposal and the latest reports from the Daily Express revealed that legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson has identified the man to replace his protege if he continues to struggle as the Manchester United manager.

Ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was favoured by Sir Alex Ferguson as the replacement for the sacked Jose Mourinho in 2018 before Solskjaer was given the job.
