It was revealed that the Manchester United players have been told that the club wants to sign a midfielder and a striker before the transfer window shuts on January 31.
Manchester United have been decimated by injuries and it is a no brainer for the club to strengthen their squad this month especially if they want to meet their least target for this season which is to qualify for the Champions League next season after they missed out on the competition this season.

The Red Devils were hit by injuries to key players at the end of last month after Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay were ruled out for several weeks.
Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay are both not expected back until mid-February at least.
Manchester United were then dealt another major injury blow with the serious back problem sustained by Marcus Rashford during the Wolves game in the FA Cup.
Marcus Rashford will miss the next two months and his impact has been missed in the last two league games which ended in defeats for the Old Trafford outfit.
