Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has told club officials to sign highly-rated Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.
Premier League legend Kevin Philips disclosed the position of Sir Alex Ferguson on John McGinn in a chat with Football Insider.
Kevin Philips played for clubs like Sunderland and Birmingham City with distinction while he was in the Premier League.
According to him, Sir Alex Ferguson has told club officials to sign the Aston Villa player who’s presently out injured.
John McGinn suffered ankle ligament damage at the end of last year and he’s not expected back in action until March meaning that a move to Manchester United this month is highly unlikely until the summer at least.

The Scottish international was linked with a £50m transfer to Manchester United last summer shortly after he helped his team to secure Premier League promotion via the Championship.
