EPL: Jose Mourinho To Launch Bid For Chelsea, Man United Target

North London club Tottenham Hotspur want to steal a march on their rivals in the chase for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare according to French publication L’Equipe.

It was revealed that Spurs want to sign the young midfielder but might need to wait until the summer.

In his last interview as granted by L’Equipe, Boubakary Soumare confirmed that he would be staying at Lille for the rest of the season thus ruling out an exit from the French Ligue 1 outfit.

Tottenham Hotspur have already signed a new midfielder in Portuguese international Gedson Fernandes who signed for the North Londoners on loan from Benfica.

20-year-old Gedson Fernandes has joined Spurs from Portuguese champions Benfica on an 18-month loan deal with the option to buy him when the loan contract expires next summer.

He had to leave Benfica after falling out of favor with manager Bruno Lage and has joined Spurs whom he made his debut for during the goalless draw at the home of Watford at the weekend.

Boubakary Soumare has a lot of clubs on his trail apart from Tottenham Hotspur.

The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on the player alongside the Spanish duo of Real Madrid and Valencia.
