Highly rated Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare has the option of choosing between Chelsea and Manchester United before the current transfer window ends on January 31.
This is according to Sky Sports which stated that the player won’t make a decision on his future until after the game between his Lille side and PSG in the league on January 26.
Boubakary Soumare is one of the young players that Lille are expected to cash in on during this January winter transfer market.
The French midfielder has been one of the top performers for Lille this season and he has made 23 appearances till date including six games in the Champions League.
Soumare and Lille crashed out of the group stage last year in the Champions League after they finished last out of four teams in Group H which had Chelsea, Valencia and Ajax Amsterdam.
Chelsea and Valencia finished in second and first place respectively thereby qualifying for the last 16 of the competition, while Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam have dropped down to the Europa League after finishing third surprisingly in the group.
Real Madrid, Valencia and Arsenal were all in the running to sign Boubakary Soumare alongside Chelsea and Manchester United but they have all pull out to leave only the two clubs in the running.
