Kalidou Koulibaly

Chelsea were handed a big blow by fierce London rivals West Ham United after left-back Aaron Cresswell scored the only goal of the game as the Hammers won 1-0 away from home and the Blues might be forced to receive another blow from their rivals in the pursuit of Kalidou Koulibaly.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham United are ready to beat Chelsea and other interested teams to the signing of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Hammers are ready to spend £70m on the transfer of the Senegalese international who is tired of life at Napoli especially after the exit of Carlo Ancelotti.

Napoli sacked Carlo Ancelotti in December last year and it didn’t take much time before the Italian manager secured another job.

Almost immediately, Carlo Ancelotti became the new Everton manager and has led the Toffees to two victories from three games in the English top flight.

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been the subject of various transfer rumours over the past years especially with the Premier League teams.

Manchester United and Chelsea have previously been linked with the center-back regarded as one of the best in his position in the world.

West Ham United are the latest Premier League side in the chase for Koulibaly.
