Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been handed a transfer warchest of £150m for new players in the January transfer window and the majority of that transfer fund is expected to be spent on Jadon Sancho who is seen as the like-for-like replacement for Eden Hazard.
The Belgian international departed Chelsea for Real Madrid in the summer for a fee of around £100m.
Chelsea were unable to sign a replacement for him immediately due to their transfer ban but they are now free to sign players after the ban imposed on them by world football’s governing body FIFA was partially lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
