EPL Transfer: Liverpool Favorite To Sign 19-year-old Defender
Premier League leaders Liverpool are reportedly in pole position to sign Coventry City defender Lee McCallum.
This is according to the report from 90min which revealed that the Reds are ahead of Premier League rivals Manchester City, Leicester City and Chelsea as the big clubs circle for the young defender.
Lee McCallum is a graduate of the V9 Academy owned by Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy and he is a regular for League One club Coventry City.
Other teams like Premier League newcomers Aston Villa and the Championship quartet of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, West Bromwich Albion and Huddersfield Town are interested in the 19-year-old defender.

The player has been scouted by as many as 20 clubs as confirmed by the above mentioned publication.
Lee McCallum signed a new contract at English League One side Coventry City in March 2019.
His new contract won’t run out until the end of the 2021/22 season.
For now, the attention of favourites Liverpool is on the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar with the Reds aiming to add the world title to the Champions League title won at the end of last season as a result of the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the final.
