Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is expected to leave the club in the January transfer window in his bid to get more playing time under his belt ahead of the upcoming 2020 European Championships next summer.
Giroud has been touted as a possible transfer addition for a lot of clubs in his quest to achieve the above stated target of more playing time before the Euros.
AC Milan were one of those clubs keen to sign Olivier Giroud during the January transfer window, but it seems like the Rossoneri have pulled out of the race to sign the French World Cup winner.

This is according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano which revealed that AC Milan are no longer pursuing a move for Giroud and that the seven-time European champions have switched their attention to other target strikers especially Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
If the latest reports are to be believed, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closing in on a sensational return to the San Siro in the colours of AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic is a free agent after his contract at Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit LA Galaxy ended.
He joined the MLS club at the start of 2018 after leaving Manchester United.
Fellow Italian Serie A club Bologna have also been linked with a free transfer move for Ibrahimovic.
