Chelsea could lose the services of one of their defenders during the January transfer window according to the publication from Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport.

It was revealed that Juventus want to sign Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri when the transfer window reopens in the coming days.

Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri left Chelsea to join the Italians in the summer after just a season at Stamford Bridge and he’s said to be pushing for the transfer of the Brazilian-born Italian international.

Emerson Palmieri is not a stranger to Italian football having played for clubs like AS Roma and Palermo.

He was at AS Roma between 2015 and 2018 before Chelsea signed him.

The left-back has been at Chelsea for two years but he only recently became the first choice ahead of former recipient Marcos Alonso.

He became the first choice left-back at Chelsea towards the end of last season before Maurizio Sarri left the Blues to go back to Italy.

Emerson Palmieri was in the starting XI as Chelsea thrashed Arsenal 4-1 in the Europa League final played in Baku, Azerbaijan last season.

Eden Hazard was the star of the show after the Belgian netted a brace for Chelsea in addition to goals from Olivier Giroud and Pedro Rodriguez.

Alex Iwobi scored the lone goal for the Gunners after coming on as a second-half substitute.

All the goals were scored in the second half of the game.
