West London giants Chelsea were unable to continue their winning streak in the Premier League after they were stopped by champions Manchester City.

Chelsea went into the away game at Manchester City on the back of a six-game winning streak in the Premier League but we’re unable to make it seven league wins in a row despite the fact that they took the lead.

French World Cup winner N’Golo Kante gave Chelsea an early lead off an assist from Mateo Kovacic but that lead didn’t last for long as Kevin De Bruyne scored the equalizer in a fortuitous manner.

His shot deflected off Kurt Zouma and into the back of the net as he leveled proceedings for his team against his former club Chelsea.

The goal from Kevin De Bruyne came eight minutes after the opening goal from the aforementioned Kante on 21 minutes.

The equalizer gave Chelsea the much needed impetus to take the game to the visitors who had the better of the opening exchanges.

Algerian international Riyad Mahrez proved to be the matchwinner for Chelsea after he produced a moment of magic to give his side a second goal on 37 minutes and it proved to be the winning goal.
