Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly ready to offer star forward Raheem Sterling a new contract according to the Daily Mail.

It was revealed that Raheem Sterling would be offered a new bumper deal to secure his long-term future at the club despite the fact that the former Liverpool player signed a new Manchester City deal one year ago.

Raheem Sterling has been a key player for Manchester City over the last few years and he has a contract that runs until 2023 at the moment with a weekly salary of £300,000.

The length of his contract and weekly salary is expected to increase with the new development.

Raheem Sterling has already scored 15 goals in all competitions for Manchester City this season and no one has scored more than him amongst the Premier League players.

Seven of his goals have come in the Premier League and the England international is amongst the pacesetters as far as the goalscorer chart is concerned.

He recently had an altercation with England national team colleague Joe Gomez who plays for Liverpool.

The altercation led to him being dropped for the Euro 2020 qualifier at home to Bulgaria which ended in a 7-0 win.

He returned for the final Euro 2020 qualifier, 4-0 away win over Kosovo.
