Timo Werner

The Premier League duo of Manchester United and Liverpool have received a timely transfer boost in their pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

This is due to the recent statement credited to his manager Julian Nagelsmann who said that the club won’t stand in the striker’s way if he wants to leave the German Bundesliga outfit.

According to the latest interview by Julian Nagelsmann as monitored by the Daily Mirror, he won’t stand in Timo Werner’s way if a bigger club comes calling.

Timo Werner is one of the best strikers in the German top flight after netting 76 goals in 130 Bundesliga games.

He has been linked with a lot of the major European teams ahead of the winter transfer window including Liverpool and Manchester United.

The two English clubs want to sign the petite German international but they are expected to face stiff competition from the Bundesliga duo of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid also had an interest in the player especially in the summer but its not certain whether the Los Merengues would still be keen on signing him since Serbian striker Luka Jovic is in their ranks in addition to Karim Benzema.
