Manchester United To Battle Eight Clubs For Record-breaking Teenager


Manchester United are set to battle it out with eight European giants for the services of young starlet Eduardo Camavinga who is having a great season with Ligue 1 side Rennes.

Despite his young age, the Angola-eligible midfielder is a regular starter in Rennes’ first-team squad and he is the first and youngest player to make an assist in Ligue 1 at the age of 16.

Camavinga clocked 17 last weekend but his young age isn’t stopping top clubs from targeting a move for his services in the summer.

According to roots, the Red Devils have set their sights on the Frenchman’s service but they will need to defeat host of clubs who are also in eyeing a possible swoop for the highly-rated youngster.

French media outlet L’Equipe reveal that Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are actively involved in the pursuit of the 17-year-old attacking midfielder and the two Spanish side are also joined by other Premier League and Bundesliga sides.

It was claimed that Real Madrid, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are all looking at the possibility of beating United and Barcelona to the player’s signature.

Internationally, £26m-rated Camavingo is eligible to feature for France having stayed in the European country for 15 years.

He’s also eligible to feature for Angola and DR Congo but hasn’t feature for any of the three countries thus far.
