Reports have it that Manchester United won’t take anything for granted as regards their move for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

According to The Sun, Solskjaer and the club’s board members are ready to make an official approach towards signing the player in January or in the next summer window.

It was reported last week by top transfer podcasts that the player is valued at £80m by the Hammers, but that won’t stop the Red Devils from bidding for his signature.

In fact, United could submit an official bid for his services in the coming weeks as they plan to defeat other interested suitors in the race for his services.

Solskjaer’s men have not been too impressive at the middle of the pitch since the start of the campaign.

They obviously lack a consistent attack-minded midfielder, no thanks to Paul Pogba’s injury.

Solskjaer sees the young hammer as the best solution to his midfield problem and he is trying to lure him to Old Trafford as early as possible.

However, the Norwegian tactician might have to exercise patience in his desire to have the Englishman as reports claimed that West Ham is unlikely to release him until the end of the campaign.
