EPL: Klopp Makes Five-Man Shortlist For Manager Of The Month

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made the five-man shortlist for the Premier League manager of the month of October.

This is according to the list released on Friday afternoon.

Klopp led Liverpool to two wins and a draw from three Premier League games in the month of October.

The Liverpool boss masterminded his team to a slim 2-1 win at home to Leicester City courtesy the last penalty from James Milner before a late equalizer from second-half substitute Adam Lallana rescued a point for the Reds at the home of Manchester United and also maintained their unbeaten run in the league.

Lallana scored with five minutes remaining to earn a 1-1 draw for Liverpool against arch rivals Manchester United.

The third and final game of the month of October saw Liverpool come from a goal down to beat North London club Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at home.

Liverpool went behind in that game after 46 seconds courtesy the goal scored by England international skipper and stand-in Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane.

Reds’ skipper Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah (penalty) scored in the second half to overturn the game in favour of the hosts.

Brendan Rodgers  (Leicester City), Graham Potter (Brighton and Hove Albion), Aston Villa manager Dean Smith and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard were also nominated.
