Premier League leaders Liverpool are reportedly in a three-way battle for Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.

This is according to Sky Germany which revealed that Liverpool will have to fend off two other Premier League teams in their quest to sign the highly rated Swiss international player.

Apart from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in Denis Zakaria.

The Swiss midfielder has been one of the best players in the German Bundesliga this term and his performances have propelled his team to the top of the table in the top flight of German football.

He has featured in all of the nine league games played this season and has scored two goals.

The 22-year-old has a price tag of £43m which is moderate for the interested clubs.

German champions Bayern Munich have also been mentioned as one of the numerous sides monitoring the Swiss midfielder who’s the midfield partner for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka in the national team setup.

The aforementioned report from Sky Germany revealed that Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund had a bid rejected for Denis Zakaria in the summer.

It was stated that Dortmund were not successful with their £25m bid and that his club held out for £43m.
