Manchester United face a tough trip to the capital in the Carabao Cup fourth round as their recent revival will put to serious test in their quest to progress in the competition.

The Red Devils will take on hosts Chelsea at Stamford Bridge later on Wednesday for a place in the quarterfinals.

They have won their last two games in all competitions and that form will be tested by the Blues during the Carabao Cup clash.

Daniel Murphy is a journalist for Manchester Evening News (MEN) and he thinks that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will revert back to the 3-5-2 formation that served him well in recent games against Liverpool and Partizan Belgrade.

Solskjaer and Manchester United came close to beating visitors Liverpool before the intervention of Reds substitute Adam Lallana who came off the bench to rescue a point for his team with a close range finish five minutes from time.

Marcus Rashford had given Manchester United a first half lead in the league encounter before the Adam Lallana show.

Manchester United then went on to beat Partizan Belgrade FC of Serbia in the Europa League by a lone goal courtesy a first half penalty from Anthony Martial.

Possible Manchester United XI (3-5-2): Sergio Romero; Ashley Young, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Marcos Rojo, Brandon Williams; Scott McTominay, Fred, Jesse Lingard; Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
