Arsenal manager Unai Emery has had his say on the standoff between club captain Granit Xhaka and the fans during the Premier League clash with London rivals Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
In his post-match reaction after the Crystal Palace game which ended in a 2-2 draw, Unai Emery said that the Arsenal captain was wrong for his offensive gesture towards the fans.
Trouble started when Unai Emery subbed him off for young winger Bukayo Saka on the hour mark.
The substitution was greeted with cheers from the Arsenal fans with the scoreline at 2-2 after the visitors had pegged the Gunners from two goals down.

Infuriated by the manager’s decision to remove him, Granit Xhaka slowly walked towards the touchline and that got on the wrong side of the Arsenal fans who were keen to see him run off with the team chasing a winner against the Eagles.
Xhaka responded to the fans by cupping his ear before telling them to f**k off on multiple occasions after he had thrown the armband on the floor.
Arsenal lost a two-goal lead at home to Crystal Palace as they failed to really close the gap on the top four teams on the league table.
