Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has been tipped for the managerial job at Premier League champions Manchester City.

The former Liverpool boss was mentioned for the Manchester City job by Manchester United legend Gary Neville.

According to the former Manchester United right-back, Brendan Rodgers has always played attractive football at his previous clubs like Liverpool, Swansea City and Celtic.

Gary Neville went on to say that he would be a perfect fit for Manchester City and that he has the qualities needed to replace Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola is still the Manchester City manager but the Spaniard has a record of not spending more than four years at any of his previous clubs from Spanish champions Barcelona to German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Pep Guardiola is in his fourth season at Manchester City having been appointed as the replacement for the sacked Manuel Pellegrini in the summer of 2016.

He has won the last two Premier League titles.

Gary Neville talked about Brendan Rodgers and the Manchester City job via Sky Sports after he led Leicester City to a record-breaking win at the home of Southampton.

Leicester City thrashed Southampton 9-0 to record the biggest away win in the English top flight.
