Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool on Sunday and the Red Devils players were happy with the result. Marcus Rashford’s goal gave the home side the lead in the first half of the game but Lallana’s 85th minute strike denied them the chance of recording a famous victory over the longtime rivals.

As much as picking up a point from the encounter will play a huge role in boosting the team’s morale, United manager Solskjaer will be pleased with his players’ display against the high-flying Liverpool.

United players took to Twitter to react to the outcome of the encounter and here are some of their tweets.

Goalscorer Marcus Rashford (@MarcusRashford) tweeted that: “Disappointed not to win but much better from us and good to get on the scores Hemet. We’ll take the positives and build on them. Thanks for the support”

Summer signing from Swansea City Daniel James (@Daniel_James_97) wrote on his Twitter account that: “Plenty of positives to take from that. We were unlucky not to get the Three points… onwards to Thursday #MUFC”

Another summer signing, Harry Maguire (@HarryMaguire93) expressed his thoughts on the outcome of the game in just five words as he tweeted: “We’re in this together @ManUtd #MUFC”

Just as they’ve said, it was a good game by all standards and we hope they kick-start their season from there.
