The target for Arsenal ahead of their Premier League meeting with newly promoted team Sheffield United is to reclaim third spot on the league table.

Only a win over hosts Sheffield United can take the Gunners back to third position on the Premier League table.

Arsenal started the weekend as the third best team in the league but they have been pushed two spots back to fifth spot after the wins for Leicester City and Chelsea on Saturday.

Leicester City came from a goal down to beat Burnley 2-1 with strikes from Jamie Vardy and Youri Tielemans either side of the halftime interval.

Burnley had stunned hosts Leicester City through Chris Woods against his former club but the Foxes were able to turn the game on its head.

On their part, Chelsea needed a second half goal from Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso to see off Newcastle United whom they best 1-0.

Arsenal don’t have a good away record against Sheffield United in the Premier League with the Gunners winless on previous two visits.

The last visit to Bramall Lane in 2006 ended in a 1-0 win for Sheffield United courtesy the goal from Christian Nade.

The other trip to Bramall Lane ended in a draw.
