Premier League outfit Newcastle United have concluded plans to offer young midfielder Matty Longstaff a new contract to ward off the interest of other clubs.

This is according to the latest reports emanating from the media in the United Kingdom.

Matty Longstaff is the younger brother of Sean Longstaff who also plays for Newcastle United.

Sean Longstaff became an important player for Newcastle United last season on the back of his first game for the club vs Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup in August 2018.

He was linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United in the summer but nothing came out of those transfer rumours.

His brother Matty made his first appearance for their boyhood club Newcastle United in their last game, an home match against Manchester United in the Premier League shortly before the recently concluded international break.

Matty Longstaff made his mark on his debut after he scored the only goal of the game to give Newcastle United their second league win of the season.

Sean Longstaff and Matty Longstaff came through the ranks at Newcastle United before they made their respective debuts for the Northeast club.

Matty Longstaff has less than a year left on his contract and Newcastle United want to offer him a new five-year deal according to football365.
