Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a swap deal for key Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

This is according to the latest media reports in the United Kingdom which revealed that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the French World Cup winner.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is said to be a big fan of the aforementioned Kante.

According to the specific publication from football365, Real Madrid are ready to do a swap deal to sign the Chelsea player.

It was revealed that the Los Merengues are willing to spend as much as 86 million pounds plus James Rodriguez to sign N’Golo Kante in the New Year.

Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez has not seen much action at the club upon his return from a two-year loan spell at German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

The Colombian could be used as a makeweight in a deal to sign Kante though it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would want to let one of their key players leave the club.

N’Golo Kante is one of the best players at Chelsea and his status is matched on the financial front as well as he’s the highest paid player at the club with 290,000 pounds on a weekly basis.

Edinson Cavani

Sunday, January 26

West London giants Chelsea have been boosted with the news that Premier League rivals Manchester United have been rebuffed in their bid to sign Edinson Cavani from French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

Both Chelsea and Manchester United want to sign a new striker before the January window closes this week and Edinson Cavani is a person of interest for the two English clubs.

According to Foot Mercato, Manchester United had a big salary offer turned down by Cavani who sees Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid as his preferred team if he leaves PSG this month.

Manchester United were said to have offered him around €10m annual salary which was rejected by the Uruguayan international star.

The Red Devils are interested in Edinson Cavani as the man to replace topscorer Marcus Rashford after the Academy graduate was struck down by a serious back injury.

Chelsea had a loan offer for Cavani thrown out by the player and his entourage earlier this month.

Edinson Cavani favors a move to Atletico Madrid who are in desperate need of a striker after the injury to Diego Costa.

Atletico Madrid offered him a two-and-a-half-year deal but they are yet to agree on a fee with PSG for him having had the first offer of €10m turned down by the French giants.

Europa League holders Chelsea have reportedly made an enquiry for one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League over the last two seasons.

Crystal Palace shot-stopper Vicente Guaita signed for the Eagles at the start of the last campaign following his transfer from Spanish La Liga side Getafe and he has proven to be one of the best goalkeepers in the English top flight.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper is a target for both Manchester City and Chelsea as reported by Football London.

The interest of Chelsea in Vicente Guaita was first reported by Spanish newspaper AS who disclosed that the Spanish shot-stopper has showed his quality in the Premier League in the last 18 months and that has attracted the Blues to his signing.

Vicente Guaita is the second goalkeeper to be linked with Chelsea in the past few days after England and Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.

The links to Premier League goalkeepers have cast doubt on the future of Kepa Arrizabalaga at Chelsea following his series of errors at the club this season.

Kepa Arrizabalaga became the most expensive goalkeeper in history after Chelsea splashed over £71m on his transfer from Athletic Bilbao at the start of the last campaign.
