Premier League giants Manchester United have been advised to sign Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
According to former club player Alan Brazil who’s now a pundit for British radio TalkSports, John McGinn is the type of player that Manchester United need at the moment.
Alan Brazil went on to say that John McGinn has the character to lift the Old Trafford crowd.
John McGinn has been a top performer for newly promoted Premier League side Aston Villa this term.
He was part of the team that secured promotion from the English Championship vi the playoffs last season.
John McGinn has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since the new season started.
He was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer with a fee of around 50 million pounds mooted but nothing came out of the transfer rumors.
The Scottish international player has scored three goals and also provided one assist for Aston Villa in eight games on the Premier League scene this term.
The 24-year-old showed his quality during this international break after he scored a treble for Scotland as they beat Faroe Islands 6-0 in a Euro 2020 qualifier.
Manchester United Receive Big Blow In John McGinn Pursuit
Manchester United have been dealt a big blow in their pursuit of Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.
According to the publication from the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are not ready to entertain any offer from Manchester United or any other club for their star midfielder.
John McGinn has been attracting the interest of the Red Devils as a result of his impressive performances for Midlands club Aston Villa in the last one year.
The Scotland international was a key player for Aston Villa as they gained Premier League promotion via the English Championship playoffs.

Aston Villa saw off Derby County in the playoff final to seal a return to the top flight after a two-year absence.
John McGinn has been able to maintain that form in the Premier League where he has scored three league goals.
The Aston Villa midfielder was linked with a £50m move to Manchester United in the summer but he chose to stay with his Midlands club.
Manchester United have been tipped to go back in to sign him when the transfer market reopens in January but Aston Villa are expected to repel any move from the Red Devils for the highly rated Scotland national team midfielder.
Why Man Utd Won’t Spend £60m On This Goalscoring Midfielder
Scotland international John McGinn is arguably the best player in Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side but that could change in January as United are very much keen on capturing the young midfielder.
Three goals from nine games, McGinn is one of the club’s leading goalscorers and the manager has revealed his readiness to block United from snatching the 25-year-old from his watch in the winter transfer window.
According to the Aston Villa manager, it’s no surprise that the midfielder’s price tag has increased [from £2.75m to £60m] since the start of the season because his performances have obviously improved to another level of greatness.

“His value shot up from the moment he went out onto Villa Park and showed what a player he is. He has an unbelievable energy level, a big, big heart but people don’t see the technical side of it as well – he’s got that in abundance.
“He’s continued that form in the Premier League and his value would have certainly shot up but he’s a player who we want at Aston Villa.”
As much as nothing is impossible, I don’t see United spending such huge money on a player who hasn’t played for any top European clubs in his career.
What Unai Emery Said About Xhaka After Being Booed By Fans
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has defended one of his players after the Premier League clash with newly promoted team Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
Stand-in Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka was booed off by the Gunners faithfuls at the Stadium for the Aston Villa game following his poor performance.
Xhaka was replaced by Lucas Torreira with Arsenal trailing 2-1 to Aston Villa but they were able to overturn that deficit with two late goals without the Switzerland international player.
After the game, Unai Emery told reporters that Granit Xhaka was substituted during the game having played three games the Gunners in the space of one week.
Xhaka played the entire duration of the disappointing 2-2 draw with hosts Watford in the penultimate league game played on Sunday before playing all of the Europa League opener against German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.
He was on for 90 minutes as Arsenal beat the Germans 3-0 away from home.
Granit Xhaka has always been a scapegoat for the Arsenal fans mainly due to his past mistakes though Unai Emery was very clear on his position as regards the Swiss midfielder.
He told reporters that Granit Xhaka is a key player for his team.
Arsenal End Winless Premier League Run With Spirited Comeback
North London giants Arsenal are back to winning ways in the Premier League after they produced a spirited comeback against Aston Villa earlier on Sunday.
The Gunners had to fight back to win the league game at home to newly promoted team Aston Villa despite playing 50 minutes with ten men.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles was sent off during the first half of the Premier League game with Aston Villa after collecting two yellow cards.
Aston Villa had taken a first half lead through John McGinn before the Gunners were reduced to ten men.
It was the second goal of the new Premier League season for John McGinn.
Arsenal equalized through summer signing Nicholas Pepe from the penalty spot after the impressive Matteo Guendouzi was brought down in the Aston Villa box.
The Gunners conceded almost immediately after that equalizer from Pepe through Aston Villa striker Wesley off an assist from captain Jack Grealish.
Arsenal were heading for a defeat until they scored two late goals through substitute Calum Chambers and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Gabonese international Aubameyang scored the winning goal from a direct freekick for his sixth league goal of the season.
Arsenal had not won a league game in three outings before the Villa game.
