Manchester United have had a dismal start to the new Premier League season but they have the opportunity to beam a positive light into a dim situation when they face struggling Newcastle United at the St. James Park in what’s a week eight league duel.

Struggling Newcastle United have won one game all season and they are in the bottom three in the Premier League ahead of the home clash with the Red Devils.

They were hit for five without reply in their last league game at Leicester City to leave them one place from the bottom spot on the Premier League table.

Manchester United have not won their last four games in all competitions since Mason Greenwood scored the only goal of the game to give the Red Devils a 1-0 win at home to Astana FC of Kazakhstan.

Since then, Manchester United have played two Premier League games, one Europa League game and one Carabao Cup game without any success.

Manchester United start the weekend in tenth spot ahead of the game with the Magpies.

Manchester United XI: David De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young; Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Juan Manuel Mata; Daniel James, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
