According to the Manchester Evening News, the Manchester United trio of Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly won’t be a part of the squad for the Premier League game at Newcastle United.
It as revealed that the three players were not in the travelling party for the game against the Magpies.
Jesse Lingard sustained an hamstring injury shortly after he came on as a second half substitute during the game against AZ Alkmaar FC of the Netherlands in the Europa League.
He was the major casualty of the game which ended in a goalless draw.
For Paul Pogba, the Frenchman aggravated an ankle problem during the Premier Lessie game at home to top four rivals Arsenal on Monday and he will miss the Newcastle United game.
He was a major absentee for the AZ Alkmaar clash in the Europa League on Thursday.
Eric Bailly is also not in the Manchester United squad for the Newcastle United game as he recovers from a knee injury sustained during preseason.
The Ivorian international has endured an injury-hit career at Old Trafford since joining the Red Devils from Spanish La Liga side Villarreal in the summer of 2016 shortly after Jose Mourinho was appointed the Manchester United manager.
