Former Arsenal strikers Ian Wright and Robin Van Persie have singled out club manager Unai Emery for criticism on the back of the draw with hosts Manchester United in the Premier League.

The two teams met at the Theatre of Dreams on Monday night and their encounter ended in a 1-1 draw afterwards.

In their respective reactions to the game on Premier League TV, both Ian Wright and Robin Van Persie had one target and that was Gunners boss Unai Emery.

The Spanish tactician received stick from the former Arsenal strikers for his cautious approach to the game.

Unai Emery started the game with three defensive midfielders and that really affected his team.

Arsenal didn’t have the best of halves as they went a goal down at the end of the first half thanks to the strike from young Manchester United star Scott McTominay.

The goal conceded on the stroke of halftime seems to spark the Gunners to life and their persistence for an equalizer was rewarded via the help of VAR.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the equalizer for his team but he was initially flagged up for offside before VAR checked for the goal and how legitimate it was.

The two teams ended the game with a share of the points.
