EPL: Why Arsenal Continued Poor Run At Man Utd

North London giants Arsenal continued their poor run at Manchester United in the Premier League after the latest edition which ended in a draw.

Arsenal have not recorded a win at Manchester United in 13 years and the run will continue into a 14th year after the Gunners could only manage a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

The Gunners last won a Premier League game at Manchester United in 2006.

Togolese football legend Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor scored the only goal of the game to give Arsenal a 1-0 win over hosts Manchester United at the start of the 2006/07 season.

Arsenal had the opportunity to end that barren away run at Manchester United when the two teams met at the Theatre of Dreams on Monday night.

The Gunners had to recover from a goal down at the halftime interval to record a point against their hosts.

The home side led through a first half strike from young Scotland international midfielder Scott McTominay whose shot took a slight deflection off Arsenal centre back Sokratis Papasthathopoulos.

Arsenal stepped up their tempo in the second half and they were rewarded with the seventh league goal of the season from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

His goal was given with the aid of VAR and it gave the Gunners a share of the points.
