Champions League: Thomas Tuchel Reveals Why Neymar Didn’t Leave

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager Thomas Tuchel has said that it was easy to integrate star player Neymar back into his team after he failed to get a move away from the French capital club before the European transfer window ended.

According to Thomas Tuchel during his pre-match press conference before the Real Madrid game, Neymar will have to face the music of his actions.

He will have to deal with the boos from the PSG fans who are unhappy at his desperation to leave the club before the transfer market was shut.

Thomas Tuchel and his PSG team coped well without Neymar who was suspended for the Real Madrid game.

PSG ran out 3-0 winners in that Champions League opener against the Los Merengues with former Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria getting two of the goals in addition to the last strike from Anthony Meunier.

Neymar wanted to leave PSG after just two years amidst the transfer rumours linking him with the Spanish La Liga duo of Real Madrid and Barcelona but the two clubs were not able to produce the €220m fee needed to sign him.

Neymar was willing to part with around €20m of his money to make the transfer happen but it all ended in disappointment for him.
