Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed widespread reports of him deciding to leave his job after the North Derby clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of the game, Pochettino rubbished those rumours as he said that he won’t leave the Spurs managerial job after the Arsenal game.

Reports had claimed that the Argentine international will quit the club irrespective of the outcome of the game between Arsenal and his team.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are coming into the first North London Derby game of the new Premier League season on the back of their first defeat of the campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur lost 1-0 at home to Newcastle United through the first half goal from new signing Joelington as the North Londoners suffered an unlikely defeat to the Magpies.

For Arsenal, their perfect start to the season was halted by the 3-1 loss to hosts Liverpool.

Arsenal had won the first two games of the new Premier League season before the defeat to Liverpool.

In the penultimate fixture last season, Arsenal came from 2-1 down at the halftime interval to score three second half goals and secure a 4-2 victory over their fierce North London rivals.
