New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has concluded plans to give injured midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek a new role when he makes his return from injury according to the UK Sun.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is presently on his way back to full fitness after sustaining an Achilles injury during a club friendly with the New England Revolution in May.

The 23-year-old is not expected to return to full fitness until November as a result of the Achilles injury.

When he returns, Frank Lampard wants to push him further forward in midfield to complement his qualities more.

For the here and now, Frank Lampard is still looking for his first win as a Chelsea manager and he has the opportunity to achieve this at Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

Lampard and his Chelsea players will face hosts and newly promoted team Norwich City in the early kickoff on Saturday.

Chelsea have played three games this season without a win.

The Blues started the new league season with the 4-0 loss to top four rivals Manchester United away from home.

Chelsea went on to lose the UEFA Super Cup to Premier League rivals Liverpool on penalties after the two clubs shared four goals at the end of 120 minutes.

Chelsea and Leicester City played a 1-1 draw last weekend in the Blues’ third match of the season.
