Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was full of praise for young striker Tammy Abraham during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the must-win league game with Norwich City.

Lampard takes his Chelsea team to face the newly promoted club at Carrow Road in what’s the first of Saturday’s Premier League matches.

Frank Lampard praised Tammy Abraham for his attitude before pointing out how he has been unlucky in front of goal at the start of the season.

Tammy Abraham fights for the lone striker role at Chelsea with more experienced players like French World Cup winner Olivier Giroud and Belgian international Michy Batshuayi.

The Nigerian-born England international striker spent last season on loan at Aston Villa whom he helped to gain promotion into the top flight of English football.

Tammy Abraham scored 26 goals as Aston Villa sealed a return to the Premier League via the playoffs.

He came close to scoring for Chelsea in the first league game at Manchester United after he hit the post.

Things would have been different if his strike had gone in as his Chelsea side were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester United.

Tammy Abraham won a penalty for Chelsea in added time of the UEFA Super Cup game with Liverpool.

Jorginho scored that penalty to make the scoreline 2-2 and take the game into penalties.

Tammy Abraham was the only player to miss his spot kick as Liverpool triumphed 5-4 on penalties.

He was also involved in the Blues’ third game of the season, a 1-1 draw at home to Leicester City in the Premier League.
