Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has finally reacted to his penalty miss against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.

The Frenchman missed the opportunity to hand Manchester United the three points against Wolves with the saved spot kick.

His second half penalty was saved by Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio with the scoreline at 1-1.

According to UK Sun, Pogba raised his hands up and apologized to his teammates for the missed penalty.

Manchester United were awarded the penalty after Paul Pogba was brought down in the Wolves box by their skipper Conor Coady.

Pogba had a conversation with teammate Marcus Rashford before he took the penalty which was saved by the aforementioned Rui Patricio.

Marcus Rashford had been successful from the spot in the previous game before the Wolves clash.

The England international scored two goals including a penalty as Manchester United ran riot against Chelsea.

The Red Devils thrashed Chelsea 4-0 at home in what was their first league game of the new season.

At that point, the first half strike from Manchester United forward Anthony Martial had been canceled out by the stunning second half strike from Ruben Neves.

The missed penalty from Paul Pogba ensured that the two teams shared the points.

arsene wenger

Emerging reports claim that former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is now opened to a return to club management but that will only happen under optimal conditions.

Arsene Wenger put a pause to football management when he parted ways with the North London outfit in 2018 after 22 years spell at the club. He has since been away from that role and currently working as FIFA’s new Chief of Global Football Development.

It was expected that the former Gunners boss will immediately pick up a new offer as there were a number of clubs ready to hand him that opportunity but he was more focused on his holiday.

Now, the Frenchman is now claiming o be missing the daily routines of a being a manager and is opened to returning but stressed that it would happen under optimal conditions.

Wenger stated that he initially was on the grass every morning and smells them but that has changed as he is now in muffled and in an administrative environment, sitting in the office which is not what he used to know.

No doubt that Arsene Wenger will still get the love and support he got from Arsenal fans when he eventually picks up a new role as he has written his name in gold at the Emirates Stadium.

Dani Ceballos

Following Arsenal’s victory in the FA Cup against Chelsea on Saturday, on loan Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos confessed his love for the team, stressing that he would choose the club again if he is to make any choice.

Dani Ceballos played a very vital role in the game with yet another commanding display that has continued to catch the attention of manager Mikel Arteta and that has confirmed the club to make more investment in him.

He has been on a loan deal and is expected to return to his owners, Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid but that is looking not to happen again as the North London outfit will seek to have him at the Emirates Stadium, with a permanent deal of possible.

Dani Ceballo stated that he feels love in Arsenal and his managers and the teammates, including the fans, have helped him love the club and that makes him feel the love he enjoys.

Meanwhile, Gabon international forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace that helped the North London outfit to land their 14th FA Cup title in the club’s history.

Aubameyang

Man United legend Rio Ferdinand has sparked speculations that Arsenal forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already decided to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer transfer window.

The Gabon international was the hero of the day when the Gunners defeated their London rivals, Chelsea by 2-1 in the FA Cup final on Saturday. The former Borussia Dortmund player scored a brace to hand Arsenal their 14th FA Cup title in the club history.

During the post-match interview, the press was quick to ask the forward about his future before the trophy was officially handed over to the team and he was quick to talk down speculations about his future.

He stated that “I’m going to enjoy this with my teammates… and lift the trophy” and the Red Devils legend was quick to state that the Arsenal man has already decided to leave, noting that he spoke like someone who is leaving.

This analysis by Rio Ferdinand might not be all true as that wasn’t the right time for any player to talk about his future, especially when he has not even lifted the trophy to celebrate the hard work and a perfect end to a season.

There is no doubt that the Gunners management is to decide on a new contract term for Aubameyang as the player earlier mentioned that they have the final decision but there is no doubt about his being happy at Arsenal.

Chris Smalling

Man United player Chris Smalling is reportedly returning from his loan spell with Italian Serie A outfit, AS Roma to the Old Trafford this week.

Chris Smalling was on a season loan with the Serie A outfit and impressed greatly, with expectations that he would be signing a permanent deal but that seems not to be happening as terms were not agreed between the two clubs.

This development now means that the 30-year-old will be missing the final stages of the Europa League with AS Roma to start afresh with the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team.

It is unclear if manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will seek to work with Chris Smalling in the coming season but there are indications that the Red Devils will not mind the idea of cashing in from his sale.

Roma paid a fee of £2.7 million to be able to secure Chris Smalling on a loan deal but will have to pay more to land him on a permanent deal

Chris Smalling is also believed to be seeking a stay in Italy with Roma sporting director Gianluca Pertrachi confirming that the club wants to keep him and will discuss a deal.

However, an agreement was not reached to that effect and that will force his return to start again and fight for playing time at the Old Trafford.

EPL: How Leeds United plan to worsen United’s goalkeeping problems

Sergio Romero

Should Leeds United listen to the advice by Darren Bent, then they will be moving in for Man United goalkeeper Sergio Romero in this summer transfer window.

Leeds United will not be in need of a good goalkeeper as they have been able to secure qualification to the Premier League with speculations that Sergio Romero will be available this summer window.

Darren Bent rated the Man United shot-stopper as a good goalkeeper but lamented his lack of playing time when he stated that Sergio Romero has done nothing wrong to warrant not playing regularly, as he calls on Leeds United to lure the player.

This might complicate issues for the Red Devils as they are currently faced with the challenge of poor performance from David De Gea and finding a replacement has been difficult.

The absence of Sergio Romero will mean that the Red Devils will not have a good back-up in the coming season especially if the poor form of the Spanish goalkeeper is extended to the coming season.

Man United have identified Spanish La Liga outfit, Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, Jan Oblak as a better replacement for David De Gea but securing his signature has been very difficult because of how much he is valued by the club.

English Premier League side, Man United are reportedly planning to sign Leicester City goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel this summer transfer window.

The Red Devils seem desperate for a new goalkeeper with David De Gea’s poor performance in the restart of the season. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to have lost faith in him and will consider another option.

Man United are already being linked with a move for Atletico Madrid shot-stopper, Jan Oblak but there are complications in the deal as he is valued very high at the Spanish La Liga club.

Reports according to the Sun claim the Red Devils consider the son of their legend, Peter Schmeichel as he is being rated as a ready-made option that will be able to fill the gap if David De Gea leaves.

Although MEN Sport is reporting that a goalkeeper is not a priority for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he would rather focus his attention on defenders after he has been able to capture the signature of England international Jadon Sancho from German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund.

Man United have been able to secure qualification to the Champions League next season and will have to do enough transfer deals to be able to compete in the coming season.

A media report has claimed that Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made an attempt to convince Nigeria international forward and Lille star, Victor Osimhen to consider a switch to the Old Trafford but he has now been let down with the latest move.

Victor Osimhen has been confirmed as an Italian Serie A outfit, Napoli after weeks of speculations linking him to a number of clubs in the summer transfer window.

French outlet, L’Equipe via Daily Star is reporting that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been left disappointed with the development regarding Victor Osimhen especially as he has spoken personally with the player on a possible move.

However, commentators have claimed that the Red Devils will not be able to afford a new player like the Nigerian international because of their bid to have England Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa star Jack Grealish in their team come next season.

With manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considering new recruits, there is no doubt that he will solve his defensive issues before considering other options in the attack.
