New Real Madrid signing Luka Jovic has denied speculation that he wants to leave the former European champions this summer.

Luka Jovic made this known in an interview with Goal as he said that he would still be a Real Madrid player when the European transfer market ends on September 2.

Recent reports had claimed that the Serbian international striker has failed to convince manager Zinedine Zidane in training and that the French football legend will let him leave the club this summer.

Luka Jovic became a Real Madrid player this summer after the Los Merengues paid €60m to sign him from German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 21-year-old attacker had signed for Eintracht Frankfurt permanently for €7m after spending two years on loan from Portuguese club Benfica at the German club.

He was linked with other European sides like Liverpool, Barcelona, Chelsea and Bayern Munich before signing for Real Madrid on the back of a sensational season for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Luka Jovic was an influential figure for Frankfurt as they reached the semifinals of the Europa League before they were beaten on penalties by eventual winners Chelsea after the two teams played out a 2-2 draw over two legs.

He scored 10 Europa League goals for Eintracht Frankfurt.
