Arsenal manager Unai Emery has given an update on the contract situation of his star players, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gunners’ boss confirmed that they are working on new deals for the two players.

Unai Emery spoke about the two players during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League clash with Burnley.

Arsenal host Burnley in their second league game of the season having opened their account with a 1-0 away win over Newcastle United.

Gabonese international star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goal of the game to give the Gunners an opening day win.

The Premier League clash between Arsenal and Burnley at the Emirates Stadium is the first game for week two.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are expected to feature for the Gunners against Burnley.

The two attackers have been instrumental to the Gunners’ quest for major honours and it’s not surprising that club officials want to tie them down to respective deals.

Aubameyang has two years left on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium, while strike partner Alexandre Lacazette has three years left on his own contract.

Aubameyang scored 31 goals in all competitions for Arsenal in the last campaign, while Lacazette hit 19 goals for the Gunners.
