Arsenal signed David Luiz from London rivals Chelsea on deadline day but they had to wait till three hours after the 5pm deadline to confirm the transfer.
The Gunners waited late for the announcement of the David Luiz transfer after they had filled the deadline day deal sheet which gives Premier League clubs until 7pm to finalise any deal.
As confirmed by the official Twitter handle of the Premier League, six deal sheets were submitted before the 5pm deadline.
The Alex Iwobi to Everton transfer was also part of the ones submitted.
Arsenal had earlier reached a £40m deal for his exit and his transfer was confirmed on Thursday night.

Alex Iwobi has been at Arsenal at a young age till his transfer to Everton was revealed on deadline day.
In total, the Super Eagles of Nigeria player spent 15 years at the club having joined at the age of 8.
While Alex Iwobi was leaving the club, Arsenal welcomed David Luiz who has signed a two-year deal at the club.
The Brazilian international has signed a deal that will expire at the end of next season.
The 32-year-old spent seven years at Chelsea over two spells.
David Luiz has previously worked with Arsenal manager Unai Emery at PSG.
