Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is certain that city rivals Manchester United would be a serious challenger when the new season begins.

The new Premier League season starts in the next four days.

Title challengers Liverpool will kick off the new Premier League season with a home game against newly-promoted Premier League outfit Norwich City.

The Canaries are back amongst the big boys after winning the English Championship title last season.

Norwich City are back in the Premier League alongside the duo of Sheffield United and Aston Villa.

Guardiola spoke about Manchester United in his post-match press conference after the Community Shield win over Liverpool.

Manchester City and Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw before the Premier League champions triumphed via a 5-4 win during the shootout.

All the players were successful with their spot-kicks except Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum who handed Manchester City a second successive Community Shield title as a result.

After the game, Guardiola was asked about the challengers to the top two Manchester City and Liverpool.

In his response, Pep Guardiola stated that Manchester United would be a big threat to the top two.

Also, the Manchester City boss said that the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea will also be a threat for the Premier League title.
