Reigning European champions Liverpool have signed Spanish goalkeeper Adrian, they completed his signing before the end of the transfer window.

The Premier League transfer window ends in the next three days.

According to BBC Sport, Adrian will replace Simon Mignolet at Liverpool after the Belgian international shot stopper left the club for Belgian Jupiler League side Club Brugge on Sunday.

Mignolet has joined Club Brugge for a fee believed to be around £6.4m plus £1.8m in add-ons totalling £8.2m.

He has signed a five-year deal at his new club until the 2023/24 season.

Mignolet lost his position as the first choice goalkeeper at Liverpool for the last 18 months of his six-year stay at the club.

He joined Liverpool from English League One club Sunderland for £9m.

His place at Liverpool will be taken by Adrian who left West Ham United at the end of his contract this summer.

He made 150 appearances for the Hammers during his time at the London Stadium.

Adrian moved to the Premier League from Spanish La Liga club Real Betis in 2013 and went on to establish himself as the first choice shot stopper at West Ham United.

He lost his place at the club following the arrival of Lukasz Fabianski last summer.
