Former Barcelona midfielder Edmilson is certain that Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Neymar has the qualities to succeed Argentine superstar Lionel Messi as the main man at the Nou Camp.
Ex-Brazilian international Edmilson talked about his compatriot Neymar in an exclusive interview with popular media outlet Goal.
According to him, Neymar can replace Lionel Messi as the main man at Barcelona if he focuses on his game.
Long-term Chelsea target Neymar has been involved in a protracted transfer saga this summer as he plots a return to Barcelona.
Neymar is said to be fed up with life at PSG and he wants to move back to Spain.
The 27-year-old left Barcelona was in a controversial manner two years ago after PSG paid the €222m (£198m) release clause in his then contract at the Nou Camp.
He has spent two injury-hit years at PSG whom the Brazilian has scored 51 goals for in 58 games in all competitions.
Neymar wants to return to Barcelona this summer but the Spanish La Liga champions don’t have the required money to make the transfer happen.
Recent reports in the media revealed that PSG would only sanction the transfer if they receive €300m for the player who still has three years left on his current deal at the Parc des Princes.
